Emma joined Bloch & White as a paralegal in March of 2025. Emma graduated from Wesleyan University in 2021, with a B.A. in Government and a B.A. in French Studies. Before joining the firm, Emma worked for the Court Operations team at Brooklyn Justice Initiatives, under the Center for Justice Innovation. She acted as a representative of the organization’s Supervised Release and Alternatives to Incarceration programs within the courtroom, where she worked directly with attorneys, judges, and individuals involved in the criminal court system. In 2024, Emma was promoted to a supervisory role on the Court Operations team, where she directly managed six team members. At Wesleyan, Emma focused her senior thesis on criminal justice policy in Louisiana, for which she received departmental honors. She was awarded the White Fellowship for Excellence in Government by the university. As an undergraduate, Emma interned with the Vera Institute of Justice, as well as for Congressman Cedric Richmond. Upon graduation, she spent a year teaching English at l’Universite Paris Est-Creteil in France.
